Amazing breakfast this morning. Waffles and real, local Massachusetts maple syrup. The sun is shining and it's a beautiful day. We've been having such a great time enjoying the hospitality of our host family. Late in the morning, we loaded up into Megan's car, and I drove her husband's truck, and headed back up to Greylock. Except this time, we got to see it under blue skies. The views were spectacular. We climbed the spiral stairs of the observation tower. More amazing views. The stone tower was originally intended to be a lighthouse near Boston. Now it stands on the summit of Greylock, and offered us 360 degree views of the Berkshires. After a leisurely stay on the mountain, we went back into town and were treated to lunch at McDonalds. Then back to the house for dinner and movies. Then, get this, our hostess' day job just happens to be a masseuse. We all were treated to amazing foot massages. How amazing! After a late, late night, I made my way outside to my tent. I looked up into the night sky for a bit, and actually sighted 4 meteors from the Perseids shower going on. Today: bliss.
