Easy hiking this morning coming down off of the mountain. We walked through pasture lands, and saw some cows. Had to moo of course. Footbridges and questionable streams. We didn't want to get water so close to farmlands. After about 8 miles, we made it to a road crossing that went into Great Barrington. There was some trail magic there, a cooler of sodas left by some former thru-hikers, Bearwalker and Buttons. While we were standing there, a lady pulled up on the side of the road in her pickup truck, which was towing a horse trailer. She had Gatorades to give all of us, and offered a ride into town. We needed to resupply again, so we took her up on the offer. Riding into town, in the back of a pickup, with a horse trailer in tow. Pretty funny. Shopping, and charging up our electronics took awhile, and rather than head out of town, we decided to spring for a room at a hotel nearby. Nice to see a $60 room, with continental breakfast included. Split six ways. Done deal. We did the usual routine, showers, sorting out our food bags, doing laundry, watching VH1. Short day, but it was nice to relax.
